Lot 188 1
Leopold I

Silver medal, Friendship medal, Kremnitz, Jeremias Roth von Rothenfels der Ältere, 28,3 g, 46 mm, Ag,
Very rare!, Katz 26, Huszár-Procopius 179, Stempel Sammlung 1778,
about EF / about EF | The style and the use of the Taschenwerk machine in the striking process clearly point to the work of J. R. Senior, or possibly his brother Hermann, to whom Fiala attributes the work (Stempel Sammlung 1778). The works of J. R. Junior are already firmly rooted in the Baroque style and struck with a balancer (a spindle press). The classification in the Huszár-Prokopius catalogue is somewhat confusing, as is Fiala's placing of it in the period of late Charles VI mintages. Scratches.
